What are the Bluepeak internet plans and prices?

Bluepeak internet comes in three residential fiber tiers, and unlike most regional providers the speeds are symmetrical at every rung. Here is the September 2026 ladder with the bank-account AutoPay discount applied, which is how Bluepeak advertises it, and the price without AutoPay alongside.

Two things about this ladder are unusual. First, the lock lengthens as the price rises, so the 5 Gig plan is the only one whose $100 is guaranteed for five years — the same term T-Mobile puts on its 5G home plans and longer than anything Midco or TDS offers on fiber. Second, the $20 step from 1 Gig to 2 Gig buys not just double the speed but an extra year of price protection, which changes the math for anyone planning to stay put.

How does the Bluepeak price lock actually work?

Bluepeak runs two price locks side by side and its own pages describe them differently, so it is worth being precise. The plan cards on mybluepeak.com say a lock is included: “1-Year Price Lock Included” on 1 Gig, two years on 2 Gig and five years on 5 Gig. The offer-details page separately sells a “2-Year Price Lock” as a $10-a-month add-on for “qualifying 1 Gig and above internet plans.” Read together, the included lock is the default and the paid version is a way to stretch a 1 Gig customer’s one year to two.

Either way, the Bluepeak internet fine print is the same: the lock “applies to the standard monthly base internet rate only and excludes taxes, fees, surcharges, equipment, and add-on services.” The $2.70 network fee, paper-bill charge and any eero extras can move. And the AutoPay discount that produces the advertised price is conditional — “if recurring autopay is not set up by first bill, the autopay discount will be removed,” with a 60-day window to add it.

What fees does Bluepeak add to the advertised price?

Put together, the honest monthly number for Bluepeak internet 1 Gig is $57.70 plus taxes with bank AutoPay — $67.70 without it — and the router is already in that figure. That is still one of the cleaner fiber bills on this site: no modem rental, no Wi-Fi rental, no install fee if you order online.

What happens when you check a real Bluepeak address?

The Bluepeak internet checker works, with one catch. Where is Bluepeak internet available?

Bluepeak internet is the 2021 rebrand of Vast Broadband, the Sioux Falls and Rapid City cable operator that private-equity firm GI Partners bought in February 2021 with 150,000 homes passed. GI’s plan was to turn a cable company into a fiber-to-the-home builder in towns the national fiber players skip, and the numbers say it has: 18 new markets by the end of 2022, 300,000 passings by the end of 2023, and on July 7, 2026 Bluepeak announced its 500,000th home or business passed across six states. On September 8, 2026 Bluepeak named Ken Johnson — most recently Chief Operating Officer at Cable One (Sparklight) — as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective October 19, 2026. He succeeds Rich Fish, who is retiring after six years running the company and moving to an advisory role. Johnson’s stated priorities are finishing the fiber conversion in existing Bluepeak towns and continuing to expand; nothing about plans, pricing or the price lock changes with the transition.

Residential speeds top out at 5 Gig; business at 10 Gig. How does Bluepeak internet compare to Midco, Cox and 5G?

Against Midco, Bluepeak internet wins the first year on price by more than $30 a month once Midco’s modem is added, and matches it on speed; Midco wins on lock length at the 1 Gig tier, three years to one. Against Cox in Oklahoma, Bluepeak’s symmetrical gig at $55 is roughly half the all-in cost of a cable gig with 100 Mbps upload. Against 5G, the carriers are $5–$20 cheaper with a phone plan but deliver a fraction of the speed and a small fraction of the upload.
